Kelly + Ben -A Destination Wedding in Manasota Key, FL

This was an awesome Beach/Destination/Home Wedding!!! Kelly and her mom contacted us from Colorado about planning a wedding at their beach home in Manasota Key, FL. After a drive down to take a look, I was more than excited about this wedding because the location was absolutely GORGEOUS! On top of that, Kelly, her family and Ben were amazing to work with. Kelly chose a "Beach Chic" theme with crisp colors of yellow and white and accents of starfish.

Guests were dropped of by golf carts at the private trail leading to the beach adjacent to the home. Upon arrival to the beach, they were greeted by photographers to take each guest's picture by the sea as well as a lemonade and water stand.

The ceremony took place directly off the back of the home on a virtually private beach. It was such an intimate and beautiful ceremony.

Guest then made their way up another private pathway where they were treated to a "De-Sanding Station"  simply put together with a basket, sand for anchoring and large soft-bristled paint brushes to "De-Sand" their feet!

Place cards were tied to small starfish and sat atop sand in shallow wooden trays.

The reception took place at the front of the home under the palm-lit tent. We carried the simple and crisp look through with a pintuck linen in buttercup on the guest tables and accented with white napkins, chairs and flowers.  After dinner, the couple and their guests enjoyed an evening of heart-felt toasts and tons of dancing.

This is definitely one of the most fun weddings we have had the opportunity of planning. From the gorgeous scenery, to the dance party that lasted well into the night, plus a sweet and happy couple- I couldn't ask for more as a wedding planner!

Kelly and Ben, We wish you all the best and a lifetime of love and happiness together! Thank you for including us as a part of your wedding.

A Wedding at FishHawk Ranch

After several changes in venue preference, my clients Pam and EJ decided on the Palmetto Club at FishHawk Ranch for their February 27th wedding. I absolutely love this venue for many reasons. It's outside of the hustle and bustle of the city, yet easy enough to get to. Once there, you find a large space but somehow very private and lovely setting. The beautiful courtyard and veranda offer an intimate, garden-like option for the most beautiful of ceremony settings, while the ballroom offers an elegant atmosphere and abililty to be decorated to anyone's imagination.

Pam and EJ chose a peacock themed wedding with colors of Teal, Purple and Moss Green with touches of peacock feathers of course! Although Pam's dream of having an outdoor ceremony in the courtyard were crushed by the downpour of rain, we sectioned off a portion of the ballroom and created a very romantic indoor setting, still using a fabric draped arch with hanging candles and a beautiful aisle with hundreds more candles staggered on either side. The lighting was beautiful and gave the room a romantic soft glow.

We had a great time working with this couple and wish them all the best in their life together!

Special Thanks to the following vendors for helping us make this day special for Pam and EJ:
